Le Saulsoy : name derived from the Latin root Salicetum, place planted of willows.
The fief of Le Saulsoy was cited in 1245.
In the 18th century, the castle was built at the request of Isaac Courtin who entrusted the plans to the architect Saget des Louvières, responsible for the construction of the Tanqueux castle around 1760, Venteuil castle and the audience of the Abbey of Jouarre.
Courtins had been Lords in Chamigny and in Ussy of many fieves starting from 1620.
