On request, we can lend you bikes to walk through the park or along La Marne River.

Aerodromes :

Some aerodromes are located in Coulommiers, Meaux and Château-Thierry.

Riding :

You can practice the riding in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre or Sammeron.

Tennis :

You have tennis courts in Chamigny and La Ferté-sous-Jouarre.

Canoe Kayak :

canoë kayak club is located in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre. 

Champagne Wine Cellars :

The first champagne wine cellars are located few kilometres from Saulsoy. If you want to visit one, here are different majors which may be welcome you : Mercier, Charles de Cazanove, Lanson, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, G.H. Mumm, Canard-Duchêne, Taittinger, G.H. Martel and Pommery.

Amusement Park :

Disneyland Paris is 25 minutes from Saulsoy.

Shopping :

You can go to the Val d'Europe Mall located near Disneyland Paris to do shopping. You will find luxury and ready-to-wear brands.

Golfs :

The Disneyland Golf is 25 minutes from the castle and the Golf of Crécy-la-Chapelle is 30 minutes.

Walks and Hikes :

The area of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre is conducive to walks and hikes. You may find different circuits to do in the area on the website of the Tourism Office of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre.

Park, Garden and Aquarium :

Sea Life is an aquarium located in the Val d'Europe Mall 25 minutes from home. 

You may go flourishing you in the Point du Jour dreamlike garden located in Verdelot 30 minutes from Saulsoy.

The Felines Park of Nesles is 30 minutes.

Cities and Villages :

La Ferté-sous-Jouarre is 5 minutes from Saulsoy. You can visit the church, parks, the old synagogue (temporary exhibitions) and the imposing Britannic Memorial. It is the world capital of grindstone.

Jouarre is 10 minutes. You may visit the Romanesque Tower of the beautiful Benedictine abbey, Merovingian crypts (7th century), the church (15th and 16th century), the Fermes de la Brie, which will show you brie cheese cellars, as well as the village. On request, we can book you a visit.

Crouy-sur-Ourcq is a charming village located 25 minutes from Saulsoy. You may see the Houssoy keep (14th century), the Saint Cyr and Sainte Julitte church and the museum of the everyday life and "terroir".

Château-Thierry is 25 minutes. You may find the house of the famous fabulist Jean de La Fontaine, the castle (13th and 14th century) dominating the city and the valley of La Marne, the American monument representing the Franco-American friendship and the museum of the Hôtel-Dieu Treasure (19th century) which hosts collections of coat-of-arms, ceramic, watchmaking, medicine, furniture, silverware, paint, sculpture and textile of the end of the 17th century.

Coulommiers is 25 minutes. You may see the Commanderie des Templiers (12th century), the Capucins church, the Capucins park and make a boat ride on the Grand Morin river.

Doue is a sweet village located besides Coulommiers. You may admire the church (13th century) erected on a mound, which dominates the village.

Meaux is 30 minutes. You may discover the magnificent Saint Etienne cathedral constructed in the 12th century and the old priory (13th century), which welcomed the bishop Bossuet, the museum Bossuet composed of paints and sculptures for the period from 12th to 19th century, the Museum of the Great War and the battlefields of the Marne circuit.

Crécy-la-Chapelle, nicknamed the "Venice of the Brie", is located 30 minutes from Saulsoy. You may walk in the pretty alleys and find the Notre Dame de l'Assomption Collegial (13th century). The city knew many poets, artists and painters such as Corot, Toulouse-Lautrec and Servin.

Reims is 45 minutes from Chamigny. You may see the Notre-Dame cathedral (13th century) where many consecration ceremonies were celebrated, the imposing Saint-Rémi basilica (11th century), the museum Saint-Rémi composed of the abbey history, the gallo-roman city, the regional archaeology and the military history, the Palais du Tau (17th century) which hosts today the museum of the work of Notre-Dame, the museum of Beaux-Arts, the museum-hotel Le Vergeur, the Villa Demoiselle and many renowned champagne cellars.

Provins is 1h from home. You may admire the battlements and the fortified gates constructed between 11th and 13th century, the Cesar Tower (12th century), the "Grange aux Dîmes" (13th century), the undergrounds, the museum of Provins and Provinois, which combined archaelogical objects and art objects from 12th to 19th century and the religious property.

Fontainebleau is 1h15 from Saulsoy. You may find the castle, the city places and the sumptuous theatre, the forest and the park, which attract walkers, hikers and climbing amateurs and the Saint Louis church (17th century). With the magnificent site of "Grand Parquet" and the hippodrome, it became the "horse capital" and welcomes very renowned events in the equestrian circle.

Castles :

The Château de Champs-sur-Marne just reopened its doors the 29th of June 2013 after long and careful restoration works. It is a castle of the 18th century, which belonged to two financiers of Louis XIV, then to the Princesse de Conti (legitimised daughter of Louis XIV and Louise de La Vallière) and was rent to the Marquise de Pompadour. The garden is labelled "Outstanding Garden". It is located at 40 minutes from home.

The Château de Montmirail is a castle of the 17th century where Louis XIV and Napoléon Ier stayed. It is located 40 minutes from Saulsoy. (Visits and animations from July to September)

The Château de Condé was the castle of Princes de Condé, of Bourbon-Soissons and of Savoie. It hosts paintings of masters such as Watteau, Oudry and Boucher-Richelieu. It is located 45 minutes from Saulsoy. (Hours, opened days and conditions on the castle website)

The Château de Réveillon is a castle of the 17th century and Marcel Proust stayed. It is located 45 minutes from Saulsoy. (Visits ans animations from June to September)

The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is the largest private castle of France. It was built in 17th upon the request of Nicolas Fouquet, superintendent of finances of Louis XIV. It is located 55 minutes from Saulsoy.

The Château de Fontainebleau was built and converted from 12th to 19th century. He has known eight centuries of continuous sovereign residence such as the Capétiens, the Valois, the Bourbons, the Bonaparte and the Orléans. It is located 1h15 from Saulsoy.
